Clinton Collapse, Obama Onslaught

When predictions go awry we need to go back as conscientious scientists and hunt down the wrong assumptions. While the Democratic candidacy is not yet clinched, the former frontrunner and the subject of our favorable call, Hillary Clinton, is badly and ominously slipping with only a few make-or-break state primaries left. What was missed?

A recap of the premises made in the previous articles of this series is:

Hillary Clinton’s Sun is debilitated in Lagna, and the argument was made that debilitated planets are strong for females, and debilitated planets on an angle especially if malefic function very well. Hillary’s Sun is widely trine USA grahas and widely conjunct USA Lagna.

But Barack Obama’s Sun is conjunct the USA Ghatika Lagna, a special ascendant for power, within minutes, in the 10th house (both these candidates and USA have Libra Lagna and Cancer in 10th house). His Sun is also conjunct USA Rahu in 10th providing a missionary purpose. Our original comment on this: “Rahu, karaka of racial and ethnic diversity, draws in Obama as a potential first African-American president.” Not only that, Obama’s Moon in Taurus is exactly opposite USA Navamsa Moon.

Hillary Clinton’s Moon, her Rasi 10th lord, is debilitated in D-10. Although we had pointed out the exchange between her Scorpio Moon and Ketu in Lagna in Cancer in her D10, her Ketu is joined to Mercury. Jaimini characterizes the Mercury-Ketu combination as a “broken limb”, which, if the limb is a leg, devastates a frontrunner.

Barack Obama’s Moon in D10 occupies the 10th, best spot, of the D10 and is joined to Ketu in dikbala. This ties in exquisitely to the fact that his Ketu in his Rasi is exactly conjunct the USA Moon. We previously missed this intricate flag of destiny.

Hillary Clinton’s Moon in 29 Aquarius in the 5th house is in an exchange with Saturn in the 10th house. Her Arudha Lagna (AL) is in the 10th house with Mars and Saturn. Saturn in Cancer is called the “throne yoga,” and is conjunct USA Midheaven point. Mars is lord of the 5th from AL and Saturn is lord of 5th from Lagna.

This strength however comes with problems: A planet in 29 degrees like her Moon is shaky. Saturn in the Arudha Lagna gives an image of rigidity and being tied to the past as well as of untrustworthiness, all the problems that plague the Clinton campaign. Saturn at the Midheaven is prone to a great fall, as Hillary seems to be falling from favor.

Barack Obama has Ketu in AL showing him as a surprising and unlikely dark horse candidate. When more planets are in the 7th from the AL there is an evolution toward the persona shown in the 7th from AL. This has exalted Mars with Rahu, and Mars is even stronger by being the Atma karaka. Thus Obama is moving from an obscure to an extremely forceful preeminence. His Mars AK exactly opposes Ms. Clinton’s Moon AK, but Obama’s has the edge because it is accompanied by Rahu and because it is exalted. Also the enmity between the camps becomes extreme.

The raja yogas in Obama’s chart center on the AL, on the image. Lord of AL is Saturn and lord of 5th from AL is Mercury. They occupy the 4th and 10th from Lagna along with Jupiter and Sun, which happen to be lord of the 7th from AL and lord of the 5th from the 7th from AL, which was just noted as the image-in-development. So the energies of personality are central and focused on the powerful 10th house of the chart as a whole.

Hillary Clinton is in Venus/Saturn, and Saturn is in 6th house of D-10 and is 8th from Venus in D-10. Her Saturn is exactly conjunct USA Midheaven, but this is an omen of defeat not victory.

Barack Obama is in Jupiter/Venus. Unnoticed before, but seen now, is that Jupiter is in Abhijit nakshatra, which is tied to the USA Presidency because Inauguration Day takes place when Sun is in that nakshatra of victory. Also this time transit Jupiter will be making its 12-year return to Obama’s natal Jupiter and will be there with Sun on Inauguration Day. Obama will be in Sun bhukti by the time of the election and Sun is strongly tied to USA chart. Obama’s Jupiter dasa lord exactly trines USA Rahu, and trines USA Moon in D-10.

Having more recently compared Kota Chakras and seen the superb transits for Obama (see Part III of this series) versus the mediocre help Clinton is currently obtaining from the moving stars, we have to recall the outcome---decisive for Obama to obtain the nomination.
